Dear Fellow Candidates, Friends and Volunteers,

Thank you for being there for me, supporting me, and being so kind as I took this first step of running for a public office! Defeat humbles us, makes us kinder and wiser. As I reflect, I have learned so much in this short time I was a candidate for office:

1. Always knock, keep knocking - people appreciate being asked and want to help. I did not do enough of that.

2. We are all special in our own unique way. Don't shy away from who you are, own it!

3. We were only a few hundred votes away from winning, your support leaves me in awe.

Lastly, I am so proud of all of YOU! The 2000+ amazing folks who are willing to take a chance and cast their ballot for me! Wow, I can't thank you enough! Please accept my apologies that I did not work harder for you, so I could represent you and make your vote count. You are all truly amazing, your kindness will stay with me.

To my fellow candidates, good luck with your new endeavor - take good care of every person you represent (including me), we need that.
